Pinoy - is slang for Filipino. Filipinos affectionately call their compatriots, "Pinoy," in the Philippines and around the world.In some parts in the United States, Pinoy means "Gay Filipino" because the term sounds "so lame it makes Filipinos a whole bunch of sissies and pansies." Instead, the term Flip is preferred, especially by Filipinos who watch or play sports.
